Things I have bought (probably shoudn't have) but couldn't resist...

Well. I would like to say, the title says it all. And if it doesn't, the painting emphasizes my reasoning. I've a self-proclaimed addict to bath products. But, in all fairness: a good smelly, bubbly bath cleanses all the stresses away on a busy or bad day.

So, now I shall share with you my most recent bath-time purchases (I honestly think I'm not doing so bad, it's only two purchases lol).
Cucumber Melon Bubbling Bath Salts from theivorymagnolia

I also purchased these bath salts in their Lavendar scent as well - perfect for a before-bed-bubble-bath. Hrm, I quite like that line...

I also purchased some bath bombs from layla!

I also purchased two of her other scents: 'Forget me nots' and 'Lily of the Valley'

I can't wait to get these goodies in the mail! The bubbling bath salts should be arriving soon, since I ordered them a while back. And then, the bath bombs will arrive later, since they were just ordered today. Both of these store owners were wonderful too!

I'm going to be the most relaxed, best smelling person. Ever. Yea for me!

Blues and hues

I love the colours on these gorgeous stoneware earrings by Suuskermkiek. The texture is unbelievable as well, and really interesting, not to mention the colours! Did I mention the colours? :)

When you have a bad day....

My coworker showed me this music video awhile back, and when I have a bad day, it's the perfect pick-me-up. Now, I'm not having a bad day, but I still wanted to share it with you. It's too cute not to! And, if you're happening to not be having such a great day, maybe it will put a little smile on your face :)

River Rocks Painting Update

I must admit, I didn't work on my painting mentioned in previous posts as much in the past few weeks. But when I'm not in the mood to paint a certain painting, I just can't lol. I have to have a mood. And I lost the mood because I was lost about what to do with the water. But now I've figured it out. Here's a little snippet of the beginning of the water:

I think I'm going to call the painting River rocks...but that's not 100% either. I've changed the 'water' two times already, maybe a third change will come around, and I'll want to change the name lol. I'm too indecisive hehe.

Plush Toys

TweedleBee is a dear friend of mine from Etsy chats. I haven't been able to be on chat as much as I was before - but I was surprised to see her collection of plush toy, which you have to admit are simply adorable! Makes me wish I was a kid again....

Chipmunk and Nut

This collage by Cabin is just too cute! What's even cooler, is that it's on a real wood backing; how neat is that? The vintage illustrates that they use in this piece tie in very well together, and definitely make the artwork so wonderful.

Painting: Love Song

While I was listening to Sara Bareilles, 'Love Song' I got the cutest idea for a painting.

Here's is inspiration for this little love song piano:

Unfortunately, the music video is disabled from sharing on YouTube. But at least you can hear it :) The song can be taken as a little sad, since she's not going to write a love song. But, my painting is happy!

Opal Eyes

I love opal, and this ring is no exception to this love. Opals have a beautiful, iridescent glow to them. They look so fairy like sitting in their place and sparking all different colours. I love this ring:

Spring Tags

I have finally finished my little spring project, as mentioned in a previous post! Spring tags! The hardest, most time consuming part was trying to find nice watercolor paper that I knew would be compatible with my print shop's printers (I love them, they're letting me bring in my own paper :)

The paper makes these tags so luxurious feeling and wonderful, and the combination of the green gingham and satin pink ribbon, and of course rounded corners are lovely. These are perfect for all your spring time gift giving needs.

Too cute

This grey baby dress by RochellesLitteOnes is just so cute. The puff sleeves and the collar make it so perfect. The colour of the dress gives this retro design a new modern twist.

Surrounded Prints

I just listed prints for my surrounded painting that I had completed earlier this week. It went a lot faster than I thought it would, thank you :) Here's a thumb nail of the painting, since the image is only two posts down :)

Summer in a top

I love this piece of clothing. It's just so bright and cheery - exactly what I wear during the summer months. It looks so light too, perfect for keeping cool.

A little birdie in a tree

This tshirt by LoftMornings on Artfire is adorable. I love the silkscreen detail on it, and the fit looks very comfortable. I've always been a fan of this particular shade of purple, it's just so rich, and looks great with jeans!

To Beautiful To Dissolve

I came across theivorymagnolia's Etsy store while in chat. I fell in love with her Magnolia Bath Melt. My only problem would be, is that it is too gorgeous to sacrifice to the bath tub!

This makes me smile...

I don't know how it couldn't make someone smile? It's catchy, it's cute. It's wonderful. I love it - just as I love the whole world....Boom De Ya Da.

Warning: This song is very catchy, and will probably be in your head all day. But it should make you smile at the same time, so you'll be ok :)

The last bit of snow...

I present you the last little bit of snow....a moleskine journal! I haven't painted one in forever, and white looks so elegant against the cover - I had to make a white tree!

Maybe if the Robin's started singing...

Spring was here, but it's cooling down and leaving temporarily again. Maybe if the Robin's would come out and sing a little, they could lull spring back...hrm. In the meanwhile:

Orchid Painting

That's right! I finished my Orchid painting from my 'painting progress' posts :) I'm quite impressed with how this painting turned out, orchids seemed like such a good idea at first: and then I realized all the technical aspects of it. Let me know what you think of it, I always appreciate critiques!

I want to find a nice frame for it before listing it on Etsy, so keep yours eyes open for it!

Yes, that is how he really sleeps

Here's Oreo hindering my studying. He does this quite often. He's drawn to sleeping on textbooks, random papers, wet towels, and of course, plastic bags. And yes, he really sleeps on his back all sprawled out hehe.

Mother's and Father's Day

Mother's and Father's Day are coming up. Okay, so they're a bit far off - but in terms of shipping, they are narrowing in. I created special stationery for the occasions from two of my paintings. They are available in shop now!

Orchid: Painting Process

So the paint dried a little, and I was able to scan in what I have so far - it looks way better than those crummy digital pictures that I had taken lol.

Orchid: Painting Progress

It was (and still currently is) a beautiful, blue sky, sunny day today. The snow is melting and the birds are chirping. After being stuck inside for class all day, I got home in a painting mood. I wanted to paint something bright and colourful, so I picked Orchids!

Here are my progress shots right now (I personally like seeing how a painting 'develops', and so I thought that you might too!). Please excuse the bad quality - I can't scan an image while the paint is wet hehe.

The colours look really off in these pictures. Once I get an actual scan, then you'll see :)

Something Up My Sleeve....

I know posts have been minimal, but I've been working on something. I've just have to get some papers picked out and tested :)
