Although winter is gorgeous with it's clean white untouched look, and the great feeling you have when you breath in that first morning air. Yes, it's also cold...I won't lie, some mornings that awaking first breath doesn't make me want to climb out of bed...

Cardinal Song

Here is a cardinal brightening up a winter day with not only it's colour but it's beautiful song. It's my first painting for 2010, and my first in my new apartment. Unfortunately, I have not seen a cardinal...but I can only see branches through my office winder, and I wish a bright, cheery bird would brighten that up.
